Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. It is with great joy and thanksgiving to God that we have come to that time when we will burn the mortgage on the buildings, while also celebrating 37 years of ministry.

God has been the driving force and anchor that we’ve relied upon to sustain us these many years, including through the difficult times, such as the COVID pandemic, yet God has been faithful! He has brought us to this magnificent milestone. In 2003 we celebrated the grand opening of our new sanctuary and Family Life Center, and in 2025 we are burning the mortgage. To God be the glory!

  • We will be celebrating our 37 year church anniversary and mortgage burning service starting at 11:00am with our regular Sunday morning service. The mortgage burning ceremony will take place at the 2:00pm afternoon service, in which Presiding Bishop, J. Drew Sheard will be the special quest speaker.

  • Yes, the services will be livestream on our Facebook and YouTube page. Links to those sites can be found in this section underneath FAQs.

  • Yes, members are asked to wear black and royal blue for unity, and anyone else who wishes to join in with us. These colors are optional however and we will be delighted to have you join us in whatever color you choose to wear.

  • Yes, you can place an ad in the souvenir book as long as it is placed before the August 23, 2025 deadline.

    • Half-page ad- $50

    • Full-page ad- $100

    NOTE: Ads and photos must be good quality, not blurred etc., before it can be placed in the souvenir book.

  • No, you do not have to be a member of Holy City COGIC to attend the celebratory dinner; however, you must be present at the 2:00pm service and you must RSVP in order to attend the diner. Once seating capacity is reached, no additional RSVP will be accepted.

    The celebratory diner will take place in our Family Life Center following the 2:00pm service.

  • You can certainly sow a special seed offering into this special occasion. As we celebrate 37 years of ministry, you may consider sowing a seed offering ending with 37, which symbolize 37 years (i.e.,$37, $137, $437…$1.037). Sow a financial seed indicative of your faith and desired harvest.

We will cap off our church anniversary and mortgage burning service with a celebratory dinner and you are cordially invited to join us, but please do let us know in advance of your plans to attend because seating will be limited.

Souvenir Book

The Souvenir Book Committe has worked diligently to put together a souvenir book to capture this special occasion as we celebrate 37-Years of ministry and also burn the mortgage. The souvenir book will be available at a purchase price of $25.
